Kal Qubain is the Managing Partner of the firm. Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and the Federal Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 2005, Kal has 20 years of experience in commercial litigation, real estate transactions and mortgage and asset-based lending transactions. Kal’s practice includes representing a diverse group of clients in the acquisition and disposition of all asset classes, corporate structuring, and commercial business transactions.
Kal also represents national lenders in connection with refinance and purchase Consolidation Extension Modification Agreements (CEMA), which is an intricate method of refinance utilized by borrowers in New York State to reduce the mortgage recording tax.
Kal ‘s practice also includes loan restructurings and workouts and foreclosures. He also represents private investment firms in business matters, including asset acquisitions, loan portfolio acquisitions and related matters throughout the country.
In addition, Kal regularly acts as special counsel to scores of borrowers in real estate transactions involving structured finance issues non-consolidation opinion letters, and New York and Delaware enforceability and local counsel letters in a variety of lending transactions.
